Yvonne Owen was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, a city girl who wished she was a country girl. Eventually Yvonne did live in the country, own her own horses and raise a family. After a few moves, Yvonne and her husband returned to her birthplace.

Yvonne has always had a natural affinity towards the tumultuous history of the province’s past. Once she discovered her passion for the subject of this story, her heart and mind had parallel input and she was full speed ahead: “My fingers could hardly keep up with the ideas.”
