My husband bought me all three of these for my birthday this year, and I thought I’d make some quick reviews for each. Bobo and the Wolf is a great little series of tales about the author’s dogs, and family, in the Canadian woods. There are lots of memorable stories here, and I particularly liked the references to other books (“Maybe you already heard the story called Bobo’s Cabin, and maybe you did not…”). The frequent use of photographs help to tell the stories, introducing us to the characters in a very immediate and welcoming way. The best word for this book is “charming”. It doesn’t have the moralizing nonsense of many similar stories, but instead immerses you in a rustic world where everything is snow, (over-)excited dogs, and family. Truly Canadian!

A Fun read, just like the first, all 3 books are long but worthwhile and can be read over a few nights (or weeks).
